Students are prepared to fulfill the requirements in the healthcare sector and to work as scientific experts in different fields.
Through innovative/active teaching, students learn how to understand and conduct research, implement research findings and design a high-quality, evidence-based nursing practice.
Special networking skills are required of students in the elective module SIMLINE, which is offered as an interdisciplinary module. Nursing and medical students simulate the actions in an emergency room or a clinical practice. Together medical and nursing students are able to test simulation patients and simulation mannequins at SIMCampus Eisernerz.
The elective Aged Care is offered in close collaboration with Associate Professor Ulla Kriebernegg from the Institute of American Studies at the University of Graz. One emphasis is the representation of age in different media sources. The elective is offered in cooperation with nursing science staff and can be completed by both nursing science and medical students.
